Saachi Manufacturers (U) Ltd is a leading electronics and home appliances company in Uganda, dedicated to making everyday life easier through reliable, high-quality, and affordable products. Saachi exists to improve everyday living by ensuring that essential home solutions are accessible to households across the country. With a strong focus on quality, affordability, and local manufacturing, Saachi continues to play an important role in Uganda’s growing industrial and consumer markets.

Our Journey

Founded in 2004, Saachi began as an importer of electronics and home appliances, responding to the increasing demand for dependable household products in Uganda. Over the years, the company’s vision expanded beyond importation to local production and long-term national contribution. In 2017, in alignment with the government’s “Buy Uganda, Build Uganda (BUBU)” initiative, Saachi established a local manufacturing and assembling plant for various electronics and home appliances. This strategic move strengthened local production capacity, created employment opportunities, and ensured greater product availability for Ugandan consumers. The facility was officially commissioned in 2018 by His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, marking a significant milestone in Saachi’s commitment to Uganda’s industrial growth.

Leadership & Management

Saachi was founded by Mr. Ashok Bhagchandani, based in Dubai, whose global business perspective has helped shape the company’s long-term strategy and growth. The company is led locally by Mr. Devanand Nainani, Managing Director, under whose leadership Saachi has built a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
With over 20 years of industry experience , Saachi’s leadership remains committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.

UNBS Quality Awards in Electronics and Home Appliances.

In 2013, Saachi Manufacturers (U) Ltd received a UNBS Quality Award in Electronics and Home Appliances, strengthening its reputation as a trusted provider of high quality, standards certified products in the Ugandan market.

State House Visit.

In 2018, prior to the Factory Commissioning, Saachi Manufacturers (U) Ltd made a State House visit, where the company showcased a selection of its products before HE. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

In 2018, H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni commissioned the Saachi Manufacturers (U) Ltd factory, a major milestone that strengthened local manufacturing and reinforced the company’s contribution to Uganda’s industrial growth.

During the visit, the President toured the assembly line and reviewed a range of Saachi products, highlighting the company’s manufacturing capabilities and product quality.

Became Part of BUBU Initiative.

In 2019, Saachi Manufacturers (U) Ltd became part of the “Buy Uganda, Build Uganda” (BUBU) initiative, earning a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its role in strengthening local industry and promoting Ugandan made products.

On 29ᵗʰ August 2025, Saachi Manufacturers (U) Ltd was honored with the “People’s Choice Quality Award 2025” for Best Electrical Home Appliance, celebrating its commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence in the industry.
